The Bahamas is a country located in the Caribbean Sea. It has more than 700 islands, and around 30 of them are inhabited. Ocean Cay island, which is a Bahamian island, was a man-made island mainly for the purpose of excavating aragonite sand from the sea. However, in 2015, MSC cruises company had an agreement with the Bahamian government to lease the island for 100 years. The company then developed the island to become a tourist destination as a part of their cruise destinations. Since 2019, the island has become a main stop point for its cruises operating from the USA. Ocean Cay is well known by tourists for their amazing beach and well-developed facilities and activities, which include restaurants, shops, kayaks, jet-skis and many other things.
I went to Ocean Cay in 2021 with my husband as a part of our honeymoon. It was a memorable location because it was something that I have never experienced before in my life. The beautiful scenery combined with the services provided to the tourists made it one of the best vacations I have ever had. The water was so clear when I swam in the sea, the food was amazing, and there were a lot of activities. I really encourage you to go if you have the time; the island could be a part of a 3- or 7-day cruise.
