Intensive English Program students and a few guests enjoyed an exciting night of basketball as they watched the Houston Rockets play the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Toyota Center in beautiful downtown Houston.
Students displayed the “Go Red Nation” spirit, and many arrived wearing Houston Rockets basketball jerseys. Before the game, everyone posed for pictures in front of the gorgeous cityscape with its luminous skyscrapers. We sat right beside the DJ, who played all the sound effects for the game. During game breaks, Clutch, the Rockets mascot made things fun by wrestling the Cavaliers mascot. Laughter filled the arena when the smallest of three Clutch mascots took on the mascot for the Cavaliers and won. At the end of the night, the score was not what we hoped for, as the Rockets lost to the Cavaliers, but the memories we made were priceless!
